Forklift Re-certification Training
Program Description
This course is designed for the operator who has previous certification but requires updated training and legislation. Ministry guidelines and safe driving practices will be covered, and the program will be specifically geared to your application and/or equipment choice.
Operators are given a written test and a hands-on evaluation. This course will provide the attendee with a Lift Truck Certificate upon successful completion of both theoretical and practical components.
Program Overview
This comprehensive program is designed in two parts to provide theoretical and practical training to facilitate compliance for workers using this type of equipment.
A few of the area covered by the theoretical training are:
- Current applicable legislation
- Vehicle stability
- Causes of accidents and injury
- Stabilizer systems
- Operator responsibility
- Pedestrian awareness
- Capacity plates
- Control systems
- Fuel sources (battery and propane)
- Pre-shift inspection and reporting procedures
- General safety rules/guidelines
This program meets the requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction and Industrial Regulations and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards.
Certification is valid for 3 years upon completion.

Duration:
Program duration varies depending on the number of participants and level of experience.
However, allot a half day for the training as a minimum. Training takes place at your location.
