Forklift Training

 This course is designed for the new operator and/or individual with lift truck operator experience but has not had formal training. This program will be specifically geared to your application and equipment; and will enhance and revive your operators’ awareness of safe lift truck operation. 

Operators are given a written test and a hands-on evaluation. This course will provide the attendee with a Lift Truck Certificate upon successful completion of both theoretical and practical components.

This comprehensive program is designed in two parts to provide theoretical and practical training to facilitate compliance for workers using this type of equipment.

A few of the area covered by the theoretical training are:  

• Current applicable legislation
• Vehicle stability
• Causes of accidents and injury
• Stabilizer systems
• Operator responsibility
• Pedestrian awareness
• Capacity plates
• Control systems
• Fuel sources (battery and propane)
• Pre-shift inspection and reporting procedures
• General safety rules/guidelines

This program meets the requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Construction and Industrial Regulations and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards

Certification is valid for 3 years upon completion.

• Theoretical Training
•  Practical operating evaluation 
• Record of training report
• Individual wallet certificates for successful participants 

Program duration varies depending on the number of participants and level of experience. 

However, allot a full day for the training as a minimum, practical may require scheduling for another time. Training takes place at your location.
